Hair Fair Haul, Ya’ll + Freebies

Here comes Hair Fair post number two! I’m going to squeeze in as much as I can in this post, so bear with me. This has been one busy month for designers and bloggers. There are a ton of great events going on. Here’s some more of my hair fair favorites!

AMACCI

First up we have the adorable pigtails & buns from Amacci.. these are just my style. The hairs come with a color change hud which, includes several hair colors along with some ombre/fades, and you can also change the colors of the bows.

LITTLE BONES

Here are my favorites from Little Bones this year at the event. I love this brown to pastel pink fade color because it reminds me of my RL hair (talk about high maintenance!).

SUGARSMACK

I discovered Sugarsmack last year at hair fair and the Brynn hair is one of my favorites this year. Braids<3!!

GEEK

Next we have Geek. These hairs come with a color change hud as well, and you can also change the color of the streaks in the hair for a more customizable look!

MILANA

Last but far from least is Milana one of my long time favorite hair stores. One of my “signature” hairs in 2008 was from Dernier Cri.. and I still have it. I loveee their blue colors.

Summertime in SL Means Hair Fair

It’s every shop-a-holic’s favorite time of year…. HAIR FAIR TIME! As with all previous hair fairs, be prepared to break the bank because the designers have created some fantastic hairs!! This is just one of many Hair Fair posts to come. I’ll be showcasing !Ohmai in this post as well as a bright and summery yellow outfit. All of the hairs from !Ohmai come in a tweeter and non-tweeter version. I’m only showing the birdy versions because I love them. All colors shown below come from the candy pack, because I also <3 it! The pack has pastel and bright colors with streaks and all color packs come with a hud where you can change the color of each bird as well as any other accessory. Such a cutecutecute idea! It seems like just yesterday I was doing last years Hair Fair post! I can't believe I have been blogging for a year straight with no hiatus.

Oneword in Second Life – Wonderland Round & More!

Oh hi! I took a bit of a break from blogging at the end of June because I (drunkenly) decided to start DJing weekly again! It’s fun, though, I’m not complaining! It’s just taken me a little be longer to find the time management sweet spot.

Ice Cream Friday & My Blogging Journey Meme

I thought I was going to do a super quick blog post, but turns out I am really bad about checking to make sure attachments aren’t going into my face/body. Whoops. Soo.. An hour later.. I finally have some bloggable photos. Photos were taken on the always adorable itutu sim. I also wanted to do the My Blogging Journey meme from Strawberry Singh.

Which electronic devices do you use to blog with?
I use my desktop computer only for this blog. I sometimes use my phone to update RL blogs with something quick like a photo post.

Do you have a mission statement for your blog, if so, what is it?
HUMP ERRYBODY! JK. Um. I just want to showcase my style, find new and gorgeous places in world, and wanted a new hobby, really.

How do you feel about blogs that use their platforms to spread negativity?
Those kinds of posts should be saved for personal blogs, not blogs where you are showcasing the work of others or where your personal life is not the focus of the blog. Even better– if you want to rant maybe keep a personal journal so you can expel that negativity and be done with it without causing a whole dramatic ordeal. Unless that is what you are going for. *shrugs*

Are you a grammar junkie? Do you thoroughly check your blog for errors before posting and/or do you judge other people’s posts if they contain errors?
I’m a horrible speller, so I do use spell check. I don’t use perfect grammar and I sometimes type things out as I would speak the words. I also don’t judge others on how they choose to blog. If the grammar and spelling on someones blog are so bad it hurts my lil head to read… I will probably not visit that blog again.

If you could switch blogs with another blogger who would it be?
Can I choose Jenna Marbles? Fuck yeah, I can. And I do.

Has your blog/blogging style evolved over the year(s)? How?
My photos are getting better sort of… (finally, geeeze).

What is the most extraordinary thing that has happened to you because of blogging?
Uhh… compliments, I suppose. I’m not a super popular blogger! Also I’ve had RL blogs featured in popular news papers and magazines.

When it comes to Second Life blogs, there are different styles: Fashion bloggers, Lifestyle & Travel bloggers, Informative bloggers, and more. Which style do you prefer and where do you feel your blog fits in?
Fashion for the most part. Eventually I would like to incorporate some playlists in the music section of this website (not the annoying auto play kind, lol) because music is a huge part of my SL. I have been doing more exploring to find interesting places for photos so I wouldn’t mind taking my blog in the fashion/travel direction.

What has blogging taught you?
That it is really freakin’ hard to drive traffic to an SL blog.

Share your top 3 tips for new bloggers.
Don’t be a dick, be yourself, and challenge yourself to be a better blogger/photographer/stylist/photoshopper.

My Attic in SL – May & Freebies!!

I put together two outfits using mostly items from the May round of My Attic! The items from Lacuna Inc come in a ton of different colors, and you can mix and match the tops & bottoms! Free Shoes in SL! and Another Beachy Post

This time I went all the way beachy at the Kuro and Aru sim because I wanted to show off this new MagB bikini and a new Little Bones hair that reminds me of a day at the beach. Catching Fireflies at The Trace

Most beaches in SL look the same… but not this one. The Trace is a gorgeous beachy-but-not-too-beachy sim with tons of places to snap beautiful pictures. I’m using a night time windlight so you can’t see a lot of the landscaping but, trust me, it’s a great sim for photography.

I wanted a summery place to take some night time photos using the new Fireflies from Infiniti and The Trace was perfect! I’m wearing new clothes from Milk Motion and a few things from this round of Kustom9 as well!

I took the photos on Thursday (even though I’m not posting this until today) does a facelight count as a Throwback Thursday item? haha I THINK IT DO! Check out the pic below.

New Little Bones & Collabor88 May

Wow. It’s been two weeks or longer since I’ve had the time to blog! I’ve been keeping busy in RL with work and working on my RL blog… it’s still nowhere near ready to launch. Hmph!

I have another darling pink outfit for you today. Please forgive the photos, something weird is happening when I use advanced lighting model and I wanted to get a post up, so no time to troubleshoot!

The hair is from Little Bones and it is possibly my favorite hair that Nova has made to date. It is Winehouse-esque. LOVE IT. The dress is from Epic and the shoes are NEWWWW from half deer at this months Collabor88 (I still need to go back and get a ton more!). The yummeh sundae inspired shoes come with a color change HUD for the heels so you can mix and match with your outfit. The nailpolish is available from Bella Elephante at the Fit For a Princess event which runs until May 24th. My other makeup is from a.e.meth and everything in their store is only $10L right now, so be sure to hit up the store closing sale. Details and pics below!

Newness From Magika

I don’t own very may short hair styles in SL, but Magika makes some of the cutest around! I love the curl on the new hair “Thoughtful” it’s all kinds of adorable. I’m also wearing a top from Pixicat, a store I recently discovered, and the long skirt is from Lacuna Inc! The cuff bracelet is a subscribo gift from Pure Poison, they also have a TON of group gifts out at their main store. If you haven’t been there in a while.. it’s definitely worth a trip.
